Gratitude...

I am overwhelmed with this feeling...
inexpressable by words...
flooded with emotion...

He blesses my life, moment by moment.
All I have, is because of Him.

My soul finds rest in God alone
my salvation comes from him.
He is my fortress, I will never be shaken.
Psalm 62.

It's been awhile...

Napping is fabulous. Love the chance to knock out some stuff while the wee one is down. So... here I am!

It's been awhile.

Life has been good.

A challenging year with tornados, a new roof.... flood damage, demo, and learning how to put up new walls, ceiling, etc.

Fun stuff.

Some overwhelming moments - but through it all - God remains.

What more can I say?

A new beginning...

It's been awhile since I've visited here....
much has happened...
much has begun...

A new little person has entered into our family...
I introduce you to Ephraim Michael Ennis.
(Ephraim is Hebrew - with both roots meaning fruitful/blessed,
so Ephraim = doubly blessed/fruitful)

Each day holds fabulous moments I am attempting to soak in...
Life is grand.

Transitions...

Each part of life is filled with glorious transitions... as a chord sequence builds, bridging one song to the next... these in-between moments are pivotal...

I find myself in one such moment.... somehow a tiny person is growing in me... 5 months of a tiny person... and I am in a glorious transition... it is building and bridging one season in my journey to the next.

Sacraments

What an intense opportunity i had last week at a youth camp in Oklahoma. We gathered 150 people together on Tuesday night to go from station to station experiencing random interactions with Christ...communion, writing letters, foot washing, etc. i was asked to lead in the sacrament of communion and was very humbled when thinking of the impact this could have...
As the first of 5 groups gathered, i explained what the symbols represent...when talking about the bread i realized how important the physicallity of Jesus was...and how important our flesh is...an overwhelming thought! It still overwhelms me...life...breath...pain...touch...all things we were created to have and experience...what an amazing thought...
